Freeze Fat Away—CoolSculpting and It’s Efficiency

Among the people of highly developed countries, excess weight and, not uncommonly, obesity —counts as one of the most common issues. Throughout history, people have been devising various techniques to battle this. It was to be expected — overweight body is not only aesthetically less appealing than a fit one, but also induces a variety of health risks. Some of such techniques were more efficient than the other ones, varying from extremely efficient ones all the way to pure snake-oil type ones.

During the past decade, a new fat-battling technique has appeared, and it’s popularly called CoolSculpting. The more technical term for it is cryolipolysis, or in layman’s terms, destroying fat cells through the means of cooling them down. Recently, New York has been introduced to it, by Dr Fiorillo and his highly trained team. But how does it compare to other well-known techniques?

Surely, one of the first questions would be — how does it compare to liposuction? It’s a natural question, since liposuction is still one of the more popular such methods (and for a good reason). Liposuction is an older technology, and it should be noted that those two are barely comparable. While they are both used to remove fat from one’s body, this is probably the only similarity they bear. Liposuction is an intrusive method, requiring anesthesia to be preformed completely. What it does is that it attacks larger compartments of thick fat, progressively thinning them down through each undertaken therapy. As such, it can have dramatic effects on fat reduction (although it won’t remove excess skin). Cryolipolysis or CoolSculpting, on the other hand, is mainly used to attack wider patches of the body, thus dissolving excess fat from under the surface of the skin. The effects from a single therapy can go on for weeks, and it has been shown to destroy as much as 20% of existing fat. As it is not a surgical treatment, it doesn’t invade the body and requires no anesthesia — in fact, it doesn’t hurt at all. In the worst-case scenario, the patient will feel cold, and the skin may feel dry for a bit of time. Lastly, CoolSculpting is far less pricey — some of the most expensive cryopolysis treatments are cheaper than the least expensive ones for liposuction.

Another thing that should be mentioned is cellulite. As this is one of the main concerns of many women, it deserves mentioning. And before anyone gets on their feet, we should get this out of the way — cellulite is mainly a skin issue, and not a fat-related one. While excess fat is one of the reasons why cellulite appears, it appears on the skin, and as such cannot be efficiently treated by any fat-burning method. Regardless of that, CoolSculpting is known to make it less obvious, since the fat underneath is being destroyed, preventing its accentuation and further development.

To sum things up, if you are a resident of New York or New Jersey, and want to battle a bit of excess fat, fat freezing is surely the way to go. Dr. Fiorillo and his team of highly trained nurses and technicians are at your service here, freezing fat away at both an affordable price and providing cool results, sculpting your body back into its fitness and freshness.
